The Typhlological Museum will once again participate in the Science Festival, which will take place from 16 to 21 April, 2018, at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, and this year it will partner with the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica. The main topic of the festival is discovery, as well as marking the anniversaries of birth of Croatian scientists Franjo Hanaman, Ferdinand Kovačević and Marin Getaldić. The program of the Typhlological Museum will be devoted to one of the greatest scientific discoveries of the 19th century – the Braille alphabet, the basic tool of literacy for the blind. The visitors will be able to learn Braille in workshops during the festival. Optometry students from the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica will support the festival and mark the birth of Marin Getaldić and measure acuity.
